Delivery & Information

 

Terms and conditions

By checking the delivery box in your shopping basket you agree to pay all delivery costs and are therefore bound by the following terms and conditions.

 

Charges

Items that are not suitable for posting may be delivered by us within a 50 mile radius. Over 50 miles will be by negotiation.

Items for postal delivery- The standard delivery charge is £10 which ensures delivery before 12 noon on your chosen date. If you require an express service please contact us for a quote, delivery can be as early as 10am the following day! Please note there is no delivery on a Sunday and delivery on a Saturday (before 12 noon) carries a surcharge of £4.

All standard charges are added at checkout and should be paid in full along with any “special delivery” charges before cakes are despatched.

Delivery to some remote parts of the UK may take an extra day. Working days are Monday-Friday (excluding English Bank Holidays)

 

Delivery

Please be aware that a signature is required on delivery, if there is no one available at the delivery address then the carrier will leave a card with instructions on how to get your item either by redelivery or collection from a local depot. It is your responsibility to ensure there is someone in to accept delivery.

For reasons of compensation the time the carrier first tried to deliver the cake shall count as the delivery time.

The full delivery address with post code is required and it is advisable to provide us with a contact telephone number for the delivery address.

Sorry we can not deliver to PO boxes.

We strongly recommend that you select the day before you require the item as the delivery date to avoid any disappointment.

The personal information you disclose to us is treated as strictly confidential and is not passed to any third party apart from the delivery agents.

 

Damage

All our items are packed very carefully in boxes and photographed before leaving the premises. Your item should be inspected immediately on arrival and any damage notified to the courier immediately and to us within 24 hours. Photographic evidence will be required of any damage to facilitate a thorough investigation. Alternatively you can return the item to us at your own expense.

If you require us to deliver and set up your wedding item, the item will be photographed before leaving to verify that the item was set up as requested. We cannot be held responsible for damage incurred by third parties once we have departed.


Compensation

Any replacement or refund (in part or full) will be at our discretion and will be limited to the actual financial loss incurred. If you ordered an item to be delivered by a certain time and it arrives late (but on the correct day) then you will be refunded 50% of the delivery costs. If a cake arrives one or more days late then you will receive 100% of your delivery costs.

Blue Fusion IT will not be liable for consequential loss of any kind.

The company’s decision is final.

 

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel any order within 7 days of placing it, providing you are giving us a minimum of 14 days notice of your delivery/collection date (28 days for wedding orders).

If you cancel after 7 days but before 14 days from delivery, you will forfeit your deposit.

If you cancel within 14 days of delivery, you will not be entitled to any refund.

In exceptional and extreme circumstances we reserve the right to cancel any order at short notice. You will receive a full refund of all monies paid but we will not be liable for any compensation.

 

Information

Payment

A deposit of 30% is required when ordering your cake with the balance due 14 days before delivery date.

Payment on the web site should be through Paypal using one of the following Debit/Credit cards-MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro and Solo. Payment may also be made over the telephone using the same cards. If you wish to pay by cheque you should be aware that we will not begin production of your cake until your cheque has cleared and funds have been credited. This is particularly important if you are ordering at short notice!

 

Ordering

We require at least one months notice when ordering large items and at least 7 days (preferably 14) when ordering any other kind.

If after you have ordered your item you notice a mistake please contact us as soon as possible and let us know what amendments need to be made. We reserve the right to make a small additional charge if this is within 3 days of delivery as your item will be reaching the final stages of completion and some wastage may be incurred.

 

 

Complaints

All complaints are taken very seriously and 100% customer satisfaction is our target. Therefore if you have a complaint of any nature please let us know as soon as possible so we can investigate thoroughly. In the unlikely event the complaint is about your item please return your cake in the original packaging within 48 hours.

Mistakes are rare however they can occur. You are required to give us the opportunity to correct any inscription errors or repair any defects within a reasonable time.
